Judge this place for the food not its appearance. We didn’t know what to order so we ended up with multiple dishes. Just saying DELICIOUS FOOD is not giving the place justice. You must stop here!!! I saved it as one of my favorite places to eat.

We were staying at Forest River up the street at the campground, we stopped down for this barbecue. Great little place. From our waitress to the food well worth the stop for BBQ. By recommendation from the waitress, I had their ribs, it fell off the bone delicious barbecue. My wife had the pulled pork.

Their brisket rivals any BBQ In Texas, Amazing flavor!
We had the brisket platter and the brisket grilled cheese on Texas toast.
We will definitely be back.

Had a nice dinner. Food was good, but wish there were more choices. Our server was very polite but a little forgetful, but still a nice place to stop for food. There was a lot of parking.

That is one of the best burgers I have ever had. It was the "Trump the boss" burger, has smoked brisket, and 1/2 lb beef patty. Very amazing. The Mac and cheese was also extremely good. They were so nice, very friendly and even let me try their amazing honey cornbread.

Probably my favorite little restaurant.
The trucker burger, 1/2 pound beef patty, cheddar cheese, piled high with pulled pork, and beef brisket. I garnished with raw onion, pickles, and mayo.
The Red Top Pit Stop, making BBQ and Burgers great again!

My wife and I have driven past this place several times and today we decided to give it a try and we sure are glad we did. You get a lot of food for the price, the staff is extremely friendly, and the atmosphere is very country homestyle. We both had omelettes, the ultimate and the brisket with a side of biscuit and gravy. I do have to admit that it took a little longer to get our food than most places, but the fact that everything was excellent made it worth the wait. I love the fact that they use paper plates, it gives it the added home feeling of keeping things simple. We look forward to trying lunch or dinner the next visit. I highly recommend dining here!!

Came here for brunch after a morning hike nearby with friends.
Two of us had omelets and the other a sandwich.
We all enjoyed our food. Staff is friendly and efficient.
This place has a "hole in the wall" vibe. It's very small and casual. A very relaxed atmosphere. Worth a visit.

This food stop was on a strong recommendation from a local Wisconsin friend. While visiting friends in the Lakeland area, I suggested we give the Red Top Pit Stop a try for lunch (visited November 2024). She had never been there before. The place from the outside reminded me of a restaurant of years gone by. We were greeted by staff as soon as we entered the door.
We told the staff this was a well recommended place to try while visiting in the Lakeland area. He welcomed us and presented us with their menu. The menu also had a nice selection of breakfast items. I'm a fan of southern BBQ, so decided to try the BBQ Sampler (ribs, brisket and pulled pork) with potato salad and collard greens and my wife and our friend tried the Pit Stop Single Combo with potato salad. We were not disappointed! Very flavorful meals!
It was delicious enough that our friend will bring her husband next visit.

Stopped here after seeing the high reviews and let me tell you, we see the hype about this place. The food was absolutely delicious. As someone from Philadelphia I am quite picky about my cheesesteaks, but Red Top surpassed my expectations and I loved it! My boyfriend loved his pulled pork grilled cheese as well. The owner/server was very nice and even cooked the meal himself. The actual restaurant was very clean and had a cool vibe to it. Will be coming back to try more!
